For as long as I can remember, I have loved art. I picked up a paint brush at a young age and with the encouragement of my mom, I've been crafting and painting ever since. After working for many years in corporate America in advertising and visual merchandising, I now enjoy painting full-time.
My artistic focus is on portraiture. I thrive on the challenge of capturing a unique likeness and the essence of each of my subjects. I especially enjoy painting children, pets and horses.
I've been fortunate to study with some amazing artists and teachers including Dawn Whitelaw, Kay Polk, Peggi Kroll Roberts, Cheri Christensen, and have attended regular figure drawing classes with Ellen Soderquist in Dallas. I'm a member of the Portrait Society of America and enjoy being part of the McKinney Creative Community.
After spending most of my life in Dallas, I now live near the small town of Celeste, Texas with my husband Rich. We have developed a busy horse farm where we breed and care for our prized Egyptian Arabian Horses.
